In 2020, Paul De Sousa decided to write the Multiplanetary series of books to help offset the global anti-intellectual and anti-science trends by providing a series of books based on real science. He has published the first book in the Interplanetary series, namely "Pioneers on Mars."

He is a business, management and strategy consultant. Writing science based fiction is a new and exciting challenge to him.

Paul lives in the Algarve region of Portugal with his family

Paul's lifetime personal interest in science and in particular his inspired amateur interest in astrophysics, quantum mechanics, particle physics, astronomy, cosmology, natural philosophy and space exploration shine through in the Interplanetary series of books.

Paul is inspired by great science communicators such as Carl Sagan, Neil deGrasse Tyson  and Sean Carroll to present real science in simple and easy to understand terms.
